Making a Difference
One of our company values is making a difference. How we express this value ranges from our team volunteering at a local charity to using our storytelling superpowers to help a non-profit reach their goals. We had the great honor to provide our time and talent to WiNGS Dallas in support of their Mentors and Allies luncheon. Their mission really spoke to me and my team: Empower Women. Fight Poverty. Impact Generations. WiNGS provides programs to women who are either teetering on the edge of poverty or are down in it. For this project, I was honored to interview almost a dozen women who have been served by their programs. During our interviews, each of these ladies talked about their children and why they want their children to see what they are doing through the WiNGS program and to learn from it. As a mom myself, this seems like a natural instinct – because we see the potential in our children and we know modeling the way is one way we can help them realize that potential. As we celebrate our moms this Mother’s Day, I celebrate these women who are making a difference for their own families and communities, and for WiNGS for providing the resources to empower them so they have an impact on generations to come.
